BZ-Metru(pronounced "Bee-Zee-Metroo") is a massive city on Western Hapori-Nui. It is a very technologically advanced city, home to such things as levitating cars, ships, and floating platforms; also many things Metru-Nui has including chutes, large blimps, a mask forge and large observatories. It has facilities dedicated to nearly everything Metru-Nui had, like forging and manufacturing.

Kazu, Toa of Fried Goods, was born and raised in this city. He was officially the Toa of BZ-Metru, as Bob was the Toa of Bobooba and Matrak the Toa of Mohu-Koro

Sectors[]

BZ-Metru has different sectors dedicated to a certain purpose. Effectively like the functions of the different Metru of Metru-Nui.

Central[]

The central sector of BZ-Metru contains a variety of buildings dedicated to various purposes. Notable locations are listed as follows:

Turaga Tower[]

Turaga tower is a massive building that replaced Tohu Tower of the Royal City, serving to house the Turaga of BZ-Metru. It can access all of Hapori-Nui's broadcasting stations and nearly all the servers of the internet. It not only contains the Turaga, but also has facilities for the other political figures of BZ-Metru, such as BioRex and Bonesiii. Several political debates are held in this building, including the finals of Turaga Elections.

BZ-Metru Guard Headquarters[]

The main HQ of the BZ-Metru Guard. From here they receive most of their commands, and most of the paperwork is done. This building also contains several monitors connected to cameras throughout the city. All the sectors have a Guard building in them, but this is the most massive and is home to the highest level officers. Promotions are also performed here.

The top floor of the HQ is a chute center, with chutes connecting to all of the Guard stations, including the Guard Academy.

Mall of Hapori-Nui/Mall of the Comic Land[]

A shopping mall of massive proportions, selling a variety of goods made throughout the city, and even outside the city. It is three stories tall, the third story containing a huge food court.

Import/Export center[]

A large building where goods from outside the city are shipped in, and goods are shipped to areas outside the city. These places range from places on the Hapori-Nui such as Bobooba, to places off-land such as Metru-Nui and even the Southern Continent. From here they are distributed to other places in the city that use the goods or sell them.

Community Sector[]

An entire sector devoted to public interactions, including discussions and debates on a variety of topics. Each building has a specific purpose, while a larger building at the center of the sector is devoted to general discussion and debate. These areas are heavily guarded incase a debate gets out of control. This sector is also known as "The Great Forums". Comics and other media creations and files are read, watched, and shared here.

Though all this can easily be done over the internet, Hapori Tohu has frequently endorsed public discussion and debate over that over the internet, as not everybody can use the internet and the socialization is greater.

Knowledge Sector[]

The Knowledge Sector is home to the BZ-Metru Knowledge Towers, dedicated to gaining scientific knowledge not directly related to the invention and improvement of technology. The towers are so tall that temperatures can become very cold, but they are not made of crystal like the Ko-Metru towers. There is little to no dedication to predicting the future. The Observatories are dedicated purely to Astronomy, rather than Astrology. The citizens of BZ-Metru mostly consider Astrology to have little to no merit, a belief that shocks immigrating Mata-Nuian Matoran. Study of history is also done here.

BZ-Metru University[]

Along with the Knowledge Towers, this sector holds BZ-Metru University. On Hapori-Nui, gaining a higher level of education is not mandatory, as basic education is directly implanted in most citizens. If you wish to get a job in the Knowledge Towers, you need to get a diploma here dedicated to the subject you wish to study. These diplomas also grant you higher paying jobs around the rest of the city, or aid developing Comic Makers.

Guard Academy[]

The second school in the Knowledge Sector is the Guard Academy. The Guard Academy is dedicated to training recruits for the BZ-Metru Guard. Guards in training receive both Boot Camp/Military Training and Police training, as the BZ-Metru Guard are both cops and soldiers. Upon graduation, you are given a diploma and chuted to the main BZ-Metru Guard HQ, where you are given your badge, then given your station number and chuted to your station. If you wish, you can go back to the Academy for Elite Guard training. An Elite Guard will tell you that while it's the best sure-fire way to be promoted, the training is extremely intense.

During the Toa Nuva's frequent visits to Hapori-Nui, Tahu often contemplates entering his team in the Guard Academy, after seeing the skill and mental discipline of the Elite Guards.(Toa are able to take Elite Guard training if they wish, obviously with the use of their powers restricted.) The rest of the team absolutely doesn't, even though it may well improve their team work quite a bit. Tahu entered by himself to see how tough it really was. Word is he dropped out.

Toa Training Academy[]

An under construction facility. Once it is built, it will be dedicated to the training of new Toa. Once it is built, the Guard Academy will no longer accept Toa for Elite Guard training unless they have a diploma from this school. Toa who have already been Toa for a while can take an assessment test to see whether they are at the Academy's standard. Toa will be judged both as individuals and as teams. The Toa Nuva have received an offer to teach at this Academy, which they are still considering.

Tech Sector[]

A large sector devoted directly to the improvement and invention of technology. Software, computers, cars, chutes, you name it. As nearly everything is a computer in one form or another, you need to take computer or engineering classes in BZ-Metru University in order to get a job here.(unless you want to be a gunea pig) It doesn't just have labs, it's also the ideal place to go shopping for this stuff. The Tech Sector also holds most of Hapori-Nui's internet servers. A few Ta-Matoran engineers have moved to BZ-Metru to aid in the construction of a Great Furnace. Had he not become evil, Sir. Pickles could surely have become a Tech Sector scientist.

Cybernetics division[]

This lab of the Tech Sector is dedicated to improving the design of the Matoran themselves. Thanks to this place, giving a Matoran a Toa's body without actually having them become a Toa is possible. They also held several minor Rebuilding projects to make the population stronger. More importantly though, is replacing the low-tech mechanical parts of the Matoran with more advanced, computerized parts; and to replace organic components with these parts as well. This is far from complete, and Hapori Tohu is very weary of this project.

Manufacturing and Forging sector[]

You'll probably want to live in this sector if you want to get a job producing goods. Whether you want to make Kanoka, Kanohi, weapons, or nic-nacs, this is the place to go. While you do not require any education from BZ-Metru University to work here, having more skill in a certain craft can earn you a higher paying position and allow you to work for yourself rather than in a factory.

Kanoka Factory[]

Originally, BZ-Metru had its Kanoka disks imported from Metru-Nui. After the Great Cataclysm, this was impossible, and they had to resort to importing form places like Stelt, which cost a great deal more. Not even Hapori Tohu himself had any idea how Kanoka were made, so using the raw materials was impossible... until the Reserve project began. The Mata/Metru-Nuian Matoran who were immigrating were more than happy to tell them how it worked, and provided BZ-Metru with special "Kanoka Stones" of each Metru, used to charge the Kanoka Disks with their power.

The Kanoka are made on an automatic assembly line, as for the most part they don't need to be made by hand to be good. The only part that requires Matoran action is the charging of the disk. A Matoran can consciously set its power and power level, though this will drain the Matoran's energy depending on how high the level is.

Kanohi Forge[]

In this building, the Matoran craft Kanohi Masks as directed. Originally this was done on an assembly line, but after the quality of the masks went down due to the cramped and rushed conditions, now all mask makers have their own room to work in. Kazu briefly worked here when he was a Matoran, though his masks had a tendency to come out defective or wrong in some way. Kazu's masks are often called "Misprints".

BZ-Metru Archives[]

Like Onu-Metru, BZ-Metru has a massive underground museum with displays from all over the Bionicle world. This is the Archives. It's easy to get lost in here, so everyone who enters the Archives is advised to take a Teleport Kanoka(provided at the front desk for a small fee).

Though it has been compared to the Onu-Metru Archives, the BZ-Metru Archives are far less dangerous. All of the Rahi are kept under control, and many BZ-Guards are there to ensure safe travel. All levels of the Archives are free for all Matoran to access. However, there is a very large Kraata exhibit next to the Rahi zoo, which will be elaborated on later.

Zoo[]

All the Rahi in the BZ-Metru Archives are kept in a large Zoo, rather than in stasis tubes. This keeps the Rahi happy and still keeps them from escaping. This way, Matoran are able to watch the Rahi behave as they do in the wild, and even interact with tamer specimens. No matter how safe it is, this area is still heavily guarded incase something goes wrong.

Kraata Exhibit[]

A very controversial exhibit in the Archives is the Kraata Exhibit, on a level below the Rahi Zoo. It is controversial because it contains several living specimens in terrariums, though all living Kraata in the exhibit are level 2 at the highest-- all Kraata higher than that in the exhibit are dead. The Kraata's cages are made of a special protodermic glass that not even a Kraata Ul can break. Every type if Kraata is on display here, and occasionally demonstrations of their powers are shown in controlled environments.

This area is very heavily guarded. It didn't used to be, due to the Kraata being unable to break out of their enclosures by themselves. However, many Matoran on Hapori-Nui didn't quite comprehend what a Kraata was or what it could do. Some got curious and opened the enclosures, causing the Kraata to attack them, either inflicting their power on the target or infecting them. Several others were infected during this incident. Ever since then you can't go anywhere in the Kraata exhibit without seeing a BZ-Guard.

Ghetto[]

While not technically a sector, this is an area of BZ-Metru that sank very low, it is full of unpunished criminal activity. While it's still a reasonable place to visit during the day, it's completely unsafe during the night. The BZ-Metru Guard does not act on this because the ghetto keeps the "scum" in one place, unwilling to go anywhere else due to the ghetto area's "safety" from the law.

Even more dangerously, the ghetto area is crawling with wild Kraata. There have even been reports of Dark Hunters living in the area, making it unsafe even for Toa.

Royal City[]

The Royal City is actually a small city on its own, close to but separated from BZ-Metru. The Royal City has a very luxurious buildings that high-income Matoran can chose to live in. It also has a few publishing and display buildings-- having your comics and other creative works put on display or sold at the Royal City is a great achievement, something Dark709 and Superkid11 can both brag about. It also contains its own BZ-Metru Guard base.

The Royal City's main feature was Tohu Tower, where Hapori Tohu ruled. After the crash of the tower, it was decided that a Turaga should rule in BZ-Metru instead, hence the construction of Turaga Tower. Tohu Tower, however, was rebuilt, and is now a memorial to Hapori Tohu. Due to its connection to BZ-Metru, it counts as one of the Sectors.

Population[]

BZ-Metru has a massive population. The bulk of this population is made of Matoran, but Toa and many other Bionicle races can be found living here, even Vortixx and Skakdi. The Vortixx and Skakdi of Hapori-Nui are generally more pleasant than the versions from their home lands, though there are a lot of Skakdi in the Ghetto area. As long as they bare no ill will, Hapori-Nui accepts all.

History[]

BZ-Metru was once two villages-and the first civilizations of Hapori's World-called Bio-Koro and Zanohi-Koro. The Matoran of both villages began to extensively share resources. Eventually, the two villages merged and became BZ-Koro. Advances in technology lead it to become the buzzling city of BZ-Metru. It is around this time that the Royal City appeared and Hapori Tohu manifested himself on this plane.

More History coming soon.

Trivia[]

  • Some people still call BZ-Metru BZ-Koro.
  • BZ-Metru was first introduced in Dark709's second movie; it is not present in the First, though a war map by Lavaside Rahi indicates that the Zimmwads took over BZ-Metru to use as a base.[1]
  • Cybernetics division's reaserch subject is quite similiar with Cyberman[2]
